Sportsunite have successfully negotiated a new further two-year, seven figure, commercial endorsement contract between Golden Throat medicinal Lozenges and Kaka. This follows a highly successful previous two years of through-the-line national advertising campaign featuring Kaka. The new campaign plans to build upon the quirky success of the previous two years with a focus upon the 2010 world cup. The new campaign, currently in production is expected to break towards the end of 2009. Kaka is one of Sportsunite’s longest client relationships. Sportsunite exclusively represents Kaka across China and S.E. Asia.

RACE OF CHAMPIONS AND THE BEIJING AUTOMOTIVE FESTIVAL ARE LAUNCHED IN BEIJING

Sportsunite and its partners GreatGate are bringing IMP and the internationally renowned Race of Champions to China. Over three days in November some of the worlds biggest stars in Formula 1, World Rallying, Nascar, MotoGP and World Tour Car Racing will race against each other in a specially built racing track in the Birds Nest Stadium itself.

This Multi-million dollar production is being co-launched with the ‘Beijing Festival of Speed’ as a commercial experiential extension of the automotive theme. With the extensive co-operation of both regional and national government this event will be broadcast around the world and plans are in place to make this an annual spectacle in China for many years to come.

SUNNY SPORT FOOTBALL FITNESS FOR LIFE

Sunny Sports is a national program created with the direct support of the central Chinese government to encourage fitness and wellbeing through sports participation among children across China. It was established in 2005 by Chairman Hu Jintao to tackle the growing level of child obesity and deterioration of fitness amongst the Children of China.

Sportsunite and Sunny Sport have formed a unique partnership to develop a national 360-degree, through-the-line campaign to bring fitness through football to over 270 million children across China. This unprecedented multi-million dollar project has taken over a year of planning and development; it incorporates a number of key commercial partners and is spearheaded by AC Milan, Chelsea and Real Madrid Football Clubs.

THE ITALIAN SUPERCUP AT THE BIRD’S NEST STADIUM IN BEIJING

With a sell-out audience and pan-Chinese approval this August’s Supercup has proved to be an outstanding success for all involved.

Sportsunite helped instigate, develop the commercial proposal and, over many months negotiate, the deal to bring the Italian Supercup to China this summer in partnership with United Vansen International.

Described as the most successful international sporting event ever to be staged in China (with the exception of the Olympic games), the Supercup project was created not only as a lucrative commercial entertainment opportunity but also as a vehicle to develop closer commercial ties with the respective countries’ professional organisations and governments.

Negotiations are ongoing as to the further hosting of the Supercup in China for subsequent years and the closer collaboration of the Chinese and Italian Football associations.

In the end Coppa Italia champions Lazio sank Serie A winners Inter Milan 2-1 with two quick fire goals within four minutes to take the Italian Super Cup at a nearly full-packed Bird’s Nest on 8th August.
